Policies

Our policies at Angry Monkey Mixed Martial Arts are designed just like everything else we do. We give you honest and fair treatment and we ask the same from you.

We offer you membership in a great martial arts gym. To do that, we have to be as firm and technically precise in our terms and conditions as we are in our martial arts practice.

When you sign a contact with us, you have our promise that we will honour that contract. We expect you to do the same.

If you’re curious about the laws regarding membership contracts in Quebec, we invite you to take a look at Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act here. Angry Monkey MMA falls under “Physical fitness studios”.

Please note that we have the right to use Collection Agencies to collect unpaid balances from delinquent accounts.

Payment Options for Memberships are as follows:

  1. Monthly automatic payments with a valid credit card. Payments of debit, cash or in-person payments are NOT permitted for memberships paid monthly.
  2. Payment of Membership in Full is accepted by credit card, debit or cash, upfront only. This applies to 3, 6 or 12-month memberships and paid before attending classes.
  3. A $20 penalty is charged for all late or missed membership fees. This penalty is charged in addition to the monthly fee and does not contribute to it.

Memberships cannot be cancelled and cannot be transferred.

Due to previous experiences, there are absolutely no exceptions.

You are still responsible for making the payment. On top of that, we charge a $20 late fee on missed monthly payments. This is not negotiable and is standard practice in the industry. It takes time out of our schedules and can cause us banking problems. If you know you’ll be late, talk to us. We are very reasonable people.

Sorry, but absolutely not. We put as much thought into our fees as we do for everything else at the gym. Our prices are very fair. The savings offered by the longer commitment are a trade-off. If you can’t make the commitment, you don’t get the savings. It’s that simple. If you aren’t sure if you’ll be here in a year, buy a shorter membership.

No. It just gets way too complicated. We signed the contract with you. This is standard practice.

No. We feel it undermines the community feel of the gym and it adds lots of headaches at our end.
